    I saw that several people are having this problem, but the newest reviews aren’t appearing on our website either. There are 14 reviews and only 9 are displayed on the site. It isn’t so bad in itself that there are 9, but we would like to see the 9 newest ones; right now, new reviews aren’t being added.

    How could we solve this?

    Thank you for reaching out!

    The plugin uses the official Google Places API to fetch your reviews. Please note that the API is limited by Google to return only the 5 reviews. When Google updates this selection, the plugin will automatically reflect those changes. This is a restriction on Google’s side, rather than a limitation of the plugin itself.

    You can verify exactly what Google provides by entering your Place ID and API key into the following URL:
    https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/details/json?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID&key=YOUR_GOOGLE_API_KEY

    If you have received new reviews that aren’t appearing, it simply means Google hasn’t included them in the “top 5” yet. Once they appear in the API response, the plugin will display them.

    Also we recommend to turn on the option ‘Use old Places API‘ in wp-admin Google Reviews / Settings / Google. The old API has a recent sorting and can receive more latest reviews.

    Thanks for the clear explanation! I checked “use old API” and now it works! 12 reviews are displayed now, and they are the newest ones.
