Hi @worlok
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the feed URL.
I’ve taken a closer look at the feed, and it appears that it does not include a <guid> element for the items. This is typically required for Aggregator to properly identify and process each entry, and its absence can cause the plugin to treat the feed as invalid or fail to import it correctly.
I’ve gone ahead and passed this along to our development team for further review to see how we can better handle feeds like this. I’ll be sure to share any updates with you as soon as I have more information.
In the meantime, if you have access to the feed source, you may want to check if it’s possible to include a <guid> element, as that would help ensure compatibility.
Thank you for your patience, and please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi @worlok
Just a quick update on this.
Our team is still working on improving how Aggregator handles feeds like this, and a fix is planned for an upcoming version of the plugin.
That said, I also noticed you mentioned that your site has not yet been migrated. The upcoming fix will be part of the latest version of Aggregator (v5), so in order to benefit from it, the site would need to be migrated when you’re ready.
As a quick reminder, v4 is no longer supported, so we do recommend planning the migration to v5 when possible. You can take your time and test this on a staging site first to ensure everything works as expected.
For now, I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved since there isn’t anything actionable on your current setup, but please don’t hesitate to reply here again once you’ve migrated, or if you have any questions along the way. I’ll be more than happy to continue assisting you.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately the migration is so broken for REDDIT feeds etc I hope I never have to migrate my main site. You guys broke something that worked. Sorry to sound mean, but v4 worked great. V5 doesn’t for so many things. (reddit feeds, duplicate posts, odd feeds, etc) I hope you get there but right now my main site works with v5 plugin non migrated backend and my other site that is fully migrated is showing feeds from last year because many things will not update. I even tried rerunning the migration for that site (as suggested) and it didn’t fix my issues.
Hi @worlok
I’m really sorry to hear that the migration hasn’t gone smoothly for your sites.
We understand how frustrating this is, especially when v4 was working well for your setup. We’re continuing to improve v5 and address the reported issues, including feed compatibility, duplicate posts, and update-related problems.
Thanks again for your patience while we continue working through these improvements.

You should extend v4 (at least backend) support until v5 is up to it. 😉
