Plugin doesn’t log Woocommerce customers emails
-
Hi,
The store is selling digital products and the “completed order” mail includes the links to the downloadable files and the purchase invoice.
The clients do receive this email but the log doesn’t show any, only the store manager email “you’ve got a new order” and she wants to keep a record of the customers email (for her no refund policy).
Any idea why and how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance for your help !

Hi @paulette56
Thanks for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing logging a specific WooCommerce email.
I have informed our devs about this and we’ll get back to you as soon as we have more information.
To confirm, is your client using the latest WP Mail Logging & WordPress version? Also, are you using any SMTP service (plugin, website host, or another service) that may be sending specific emails from their end and not your website?
Do any other emails not get logged?
Please let us know and as I mentioned, we’ll get back to you soon.
Hi @paulette56
In addition to my previous questions, is your client’s website hosted on GoDaddy by chance?
Hi @dakeg, thanks for your quick reply.
The website is on OVH and the plugins are up to date.
I installed WP Mail SMTP Lite and the test email was sent, received and logged.
We do have a ConvertKit integration but I already tried to place an order after deactivating the plugin, without any luck.As the shop only sells digital product, there is no other WooCommerce emails send to the customers.
The weird thing is that if I use the action : “Email invoice / order details to customer” the email is send, received <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>and logged</span>.
Here is a screen :
Hi @paulette56
Thank you for getting back to us.
Can you confirm with your hosting if they are involved with any email sending from your website? For example, do you have any hosting plugins or mu-plugins? Lastly, do you have any custom code on your website at all? Whether it be your theme, plugins, or maybe some custom code in your wp-config.php file.
@dakeg I don’t have any hosting or mu-plugin.
I do have a mailoptin (lite) integration for a newsletter form (not woocommerce), custom css and a few snippets
FYI, I use WP rocket (I know there is compatibility issues with a lot of plugins).

Thanks again for your helpHi @paulette56
Thanks for sharing your plugin list. We are not seeing anything that immediately seems like a potential conflict.
Have you already tried disabling all non-essential plugins and performing a new order test? If you have a staging website, you could also try disabling all plugins except for WP Mail Logging and WooCommerce.
Lastly, which mailer are you using in WP Mail SMTP?
Hi @dakeg ,
Thanks for your reply, I will try the staging website asap.
I am using the OVH Smtp for the moment but Send In blue can be an option for my client.
I have just sent a test email with Customers Reviews for WooCommerce, received but not logged…
Hi @paulette56
Just checking in, were you able to reproduce the issue on the staging website? Have you also tried using the Sendinblue mailer (in case it makes a difference?
Hi @dakeg
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to NOT reproduce the issue…
The send in blue verification didn’t helped, neither the staging site with minimal plugins…
The order customer emails are sent, received but not logged.
@dakeg my short term solution is a snippet to add a cc recipient to the completed order email.
The email is still not logged but received by the shop owner.
I can provide you the staging credentials if you want to check it out.
I use the plugin on several website without any issue, but this is the only one with OVH…
Hi @paulette56
Thanks for keeping us posted and we apologize for the delay.
I’m glad to hear that you were able to circumvent the issue with a snippet, but I thought you had initially mentioned that the emails were always sending, but they just were not being logged.
I don’t want to say that OVH is the issue, but if this is the only difference between your other installations, there might be a correlation there.
The only other workaround that immediately comes to mind is to set up a staging website on a different host to see if the issue is still reproducible.
Since this is a public forum, we unfortunately cannot provide login support.
Hi @dakeg
Yes, the emails are send and received by the customer, adding the shop owner in cc is a solution for us.
I can wait to switch to another host.
Anyways, thank you so much for your time we really appreciate your help.
