Plugin doesn't work with All In One WP Security & Firewall

    Hi, I have All In One WP Security & Firewall installed. There is a firewall rule “Deny Bad Query Strings”.
    This feature will write rules in your .htaccess file to prevent malicious string attacks on your site using XSS.

    When this is enabled, I can’t search for Email Encoder Bundle, I can’t install or activate it and if I did get it to activate by turning off this rule, and I turn the rule back on, I can’t opeb the plugin options.

    Any idea what could be causing the problem?

    I have a response from All In One WP Security & Firewall regarding this issue:

    No this is not strange and is easily explained because the word “encode” appears in the query params and is thus causing the bad query rules to block the request.

    As we’ve mentioned before, this is why we have deliberately made our plugin flexible by creating a number of firewall rules which can be enabled/disabled to suit different sites and setups. Sometimes some of these rules may affect functionality (such as in your case) but you can always deactivate that rule if needed.

    So the plugin’s name is causing all this trouble. What a bummer.

    I’ve just found this – why was it marked as resolved without comment? Will you be changing the name of the plugin?

    I thought I already answered this issue. Probably something went wrong on submission.

    Renaming the plugin is not really an option.
    Maybe it works to disable a certain firewall rule?
