Wondering if anyone ever made the gallery with a left column showing tabs indicating the name of the slide on top of the standard display of slides with a description. The tab in the left column should change name when the slide does:
|tab one slide name |………………………………….|
|tab two slide name |SLIDE IMAGE —————————>|
|tab three slide n |
|tab four slide name|Bottom description …………………|
|tab five slide name|………………………………….|

Any samples or tips would be appreciated.

I found a Jquery solution close to what I seek @ http://webdeveloperplus.com/jquery/featured-content-slider-using-jquery-ui/ . It has not been turned into a plugin just yet though.

The other display I would need is one main image plus description bar – already possible with DCG – and a bar with thumbnails underneath where an image can be selected and thumbnails can be rotated using an arrow. Also I need to embed video. using SlideDeck now, but would prefer to use DCG for all images/videos…

Will solve this last carousel request using a NextGen Carousel unless I get an option to use DCG for this kind of display.

NextGen Gallery carousel might not offer the option to add descriptions under each large image. Not as a non Flash option it seems anyways. This option http://nextgen-gallery.com/slideshow/nextgen-monoslideshow/ works with Flash only. So Dynamic Content Gallery?

Carousel is working. Added descriptions and titles too.
