[Plugin: Edit Flow] Match EF User Groups with WP Roles

    I think, that having splitted EF User Groups and WP Roles is bad for most users. I know we have discussed it here before and you have argumented, that it is different approach, but anyway i think, there could be a better way.

    Problem is, that now i have to select for each ease EF group AND WF roles. and that cannot be maintained for e.g. hundrets of editors in some bigger magazines. 99 % of instalation will have it the same, or if they need 2 special groups of users just for e.g. different notification, they could simply copy the role as well.

    So i wonder, if we could merge it, at least using some extra function. Idea – on user creation/edit, automagicaly set his role to equal named of EF user group, and hide the ef ug field, so they will be always synchronised.

    As I mentioned before, user groups are designed to be like sections of a newspaper, rather than roles in a newspaper. You might have a “Sports” user group or a “News” user group, but you probably wouldn’t have a “Writers” user group. For the latter, built-in user roles are better.

    EF is more for organizational structuring than access allowances, it took me a bit to figure that out. The built-in user roles are for access (allow to submit, allow to edit, etc) as opposed to EF user groups (my sports writers, my photographers, etc).

    There are some instances where you don’t want them synchronized (a writer who’s only freelance, for instance). You want him in the same user group as your other topical writers but not necessarily the same access to the WordPress admin as one of your staff writers.
