[Plugin: Edit Flow] What is 'Post date'?

    Apologies for the dumb question, but what exactly is the ‘Post date’ in EditFlow? When I drag a draft post from one day to another in the calendar, I get a message that the ‘Post date has been updated’, but when I edit the post I can’t see what if anything has changed. Does the ‘Post date’ just refer to the date in the EditFlow calendar?

    I’ve also tried to use the following action and am not sure exactly what it’s supposed to do differently – I get a spinning beach ball by the date navigation buttons above the calendar but no other interaction… [tried in both Firefox and Chrome]

    add_filter( 'ef_calendar_allow_ajax_to_set_timestamp', true, 10, 3 );

    “Post date” is the publication date for the post. If you want ajax to set the timestamp, you’ll want to do something like this:

    add_filter( 'ef_calendar_allow_ajax_to_set_timestamp', '__return_true' );

    Ah, thanks very much for the correct filter args!

    If the filter’s not active, I don’t see the post date being updated after a drag when I check/edit the post though, which is why I initially asked what it meant.

    It is updated behind the scenes so that the calendar position persists, but the publish timestamp will be whenever you publish. Hence the filter that allows you to change the behavior 🙂

    I forgot I had already mentioned the filter on the calendar feature page, so I’ve updated it with a snippet.
