    Hey,

    lisa (@contentiskey) told me I should try it here so here we go.

    I have not really 100% an idea of the troubleshoot but its a unexpected Problem I have to solve. I try to understand the problem but I am not sure why it happens. Shop works on PHP 7.4 in the latest version. Can it be that it needs a upgrade on PHP 8 because the version is not supported any more. Some updates was not the latest but I did a update 2 months ago. Hard to solve. I hope somebody have time!

    Problem Code:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function monsterinsights_get_url() in /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/includes/api-request.php:339 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/includes/install.php(899): MonsterInsights_API_Request->request(Array) #1 /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/includes/install.php(156): MonsterInsights_Install->v8130_ga4_check() #2 /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/googleanalytics.php(800): MonsterInsights_Install->init() #3 /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(308): monsterinsights_lite_install_and_upgrade(”) #4 /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(332): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #5 /homepages/22/d515866946/htdocs/………………./wp-includes/plugin in /homepages/22/………………./htdocs/………………./wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/includes/api-request.php on line 339

    My Intension was to deactivate the Plugin in the Database on the server to get Access again. When I put it on inactive it should works or not? Webdesigner but sometimes still problems with PHP Troubleshooting. Hope somebody have a ear.

    Hey @webvagabund,

    I’m sorry you received that error. Google had an API outage with one of the endpoints that MonsterInsights uses. It’s extremely rare for one of their API routes to go down (for context, this route hasn’t gone down in many years (7+)). Unfortunately, we overlooked in our plugin’s handling of it. The Google API end point is now back up and running.

    We’ve updated MonsterInsights to handle this in the future. Please make sure you are updated to the latest version of MonsterInsights.

    When it comes to deactivating plugins that are causing errors, it’s best to remove the folder via FTP rather than within the database, as there is much less potential for things to go wrong.

    Just as an aside, MonsterInsights also support PHP8 if you are planning to upgrade.

    Thank you
