    Hi,

I’ve had an email (below) saying that WooCommerce has created an error for my website but I am unable to access it at all via the /wp-admin or recovery link as the link doesn’t work and the other says ‘There has been a critical error on this website.’ so I’m always back to square one.

Any suggestions on how I am able to log-in to be able to sort the problem?

    Thanks!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WooCommerce Payments.

First, visit your website (https://www.spiritof58.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.spiritof58.com/wp-admin/) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://www.spiritof58.com/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=EEFin8qFIe0UcUkyBRQqDI&rm_key=jzNvgHYKZqbv7DGROb5udK

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 6.0.1
    Active theme: spiritof58wales (version 1.0)
Current plugin: WooCommerce Payments (version 4.5.1)
    PHP version 7.2.34

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 27 of the file /var/www/vhosts/spiritof58.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-payments/woocommerce-payments.php. Error message: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/var/www/vhosts/spiritof58.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-payments/vendor/autoload_packages.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/plesk/php/7.2/share/pear’)

    Hello!

Please share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    Hi Chris,

I can’t log-in to the website or dashboard to provide you with a status report. I can’t access the website via wp-admin or though the link provided by wordpress in the error email.

    Thanks

    Hi @hangwenllian

If you do not have access to your website’s WP Admin, you can temporarily disable the plugins manually via FTP so that you can get access to the WP Admin area.
There are some instructions on how to do that here.

Once you get access, you can try reinstalling the WooCommerce plugin and then share the status report with us.

    Hi Rafy,

I’ve downloaded filezilla and tried connecting to the server via ftp but it says the logins are incorrect and ‘Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server’ even though I haven’t changed the login details.

Any suggestions on what I can try next?

    Thanks
    Hannah
