Plugin Error & Shortcde Question

    I added your plugin on a clean install of WP running the 2016 theme and got the following error message:

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘variable’ in /home/pluspusgoog/public_html/wp-content/plugins/get-custom-content/gcc.php on line 82

    The plugin still worked but the error message stays on the screen.

    I also have a question about using the plugin. On your website you state the following which I don’t understand.

    With your plugin you use the [bg_gcc variable=”variableName”] shortcode which is dynamically replaced. But on your website mentions using the following format:

    -value-NameOfValue
Display this content instead!
-value-NameOfValue

    What does this format do? I tried it and can’t get it to work.

    Last, I followed your instructions on How can I insert the URL’s query variable value into my site? but I can’t get that to work either.

    Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
