    Attempting to use eShop. Upon activation, the following errors appear in the header of dashboard and live website:

    it’s a session issue, speak to your web hosts.

    Elfin,

    I had seen that recommendation in a similar post. Do you have any specific recommendations to have them look at? Godaddy is the host. The more information I have to deal with them the better.

    I like your plugin the best of the several commerce apps that I was able to try on my Desktop Server version.

    usually they should know straight away what the issue is, but say something like this to them:

    php sessions issue, possible cause is that the tmp directory is not setup correctly.

    The issue is resolved. For future reference, they told me that when godaddy migrated my account from a “legacy” server to a newer one, the tmp directory was not created (apparently a known issue for them).

    Just FYI, they suggested that the plugin ought to check to verify that the directory exists (and create it if it doesn’t), but they did accept that the tmp directory should have existed also. Take that for what it’s worth.
