[Plugin: eShop] Special Pages not working

Using newest version of WP, newest version of plugin.

My special pages generated by the plugin will not work. I’ve checked the pages, and checked the ID associated with them in the plugin setting. All is well, they match up.

Yesterday they worked, today they do not. I regenerated permalinks, and killed plugins….still no go.

It wouldn’t be very easy to test this on twentyten theme, as I am using custom post types and custom taxonomies to deal with my products.

When I try to visit any of the pages it simply goes back to my shop front page…. any ideas?

When visiting the special pages, the url reflects properly, ie, the address bar says rvoodoo.com/shipping-rates but the page displayed is my shops front page. It’s the same for all special pages. If I add an item to the cart, it reflects this in the sidebar widget, however I can’t see the cart page

Feel free to click around the shop, its in testing mode so you can’t accidentally buy anything

eShop doesn’t support custom post types, did you make alterations in the code to get it to work before?

I assume the correct shortcodes are on those pages?

why would this affect the theme? or have you coded those into your theme?

they are coded into my theme…. I’d have to code them into twentyten to test

eShop doesn’t support custom post types? I can see my products, and they work and I can input them using my custom post type. That is no problem.

Everything works great using my custo post types…..except the auto built pages…. which don’t use the custom post types, just standard pages

When I check the pages, the shortcodes are in there and look correct. I just can’t get to the pages. Do ya think that the custom post types could be affecting this somehow?

Doh….flippin duh….

I had made a shop.php file that was a copy of page.php to display my products, but also to use a shop specific sidebar. I had totally forgot that I had also set that to query posts only from my custom post type.

I’m an idiot 😉

as soon as you mentioned custom post types, I was fairly certain you had made a change to use them correctly with eShop 😉

actually… can you email me about what you have to change to get it to work with custom post types – perhaps I can add something into the core plugin to make things easier for you.

I recented installed the eShop wordpress theme. I cant seem to get the Specials pages to work. Can any1 tell me what Im doing wrong

Yes.

1 – you are posting in a resolved thread.

2 – you aren’t even using the eShop plugin.

3 – you are using the similarly named eShop theme.

4 – you paid for it.

5 – use their support forums instead.
