[Plugin: Events Calendar] End Time issues – blank behavior

Hello, could someone fill me in on the end time behavior. Sometime last summer an update to the events calendar plugin changed the behavior for the end time field. Before the upgrade we could leave the end time blank and the event wouldn’t have an end time, which was the behavior that we wanted, most of our events don’t have end times, just start times.

After the upgrade a blank end time was translated as 00:00 (midnight), which messed up all the events we currently had entered.

Can someone point out where this change is documented in the change log so I can try and figure out the reasoning behind it. It would make sense if the behavior was required for some reason, but I haven’t found anything yet that explains it.

Would anyone vote for an enhancement that would make this behavior optional?

I know that we can just enter a dash as the end time to get around this, but I would rather the old behavior just work.
