• Hi, please help.

I’m trying to activate the plugin, but it fails.

I had successfully activated and used the plugin on my sandbox version of the site. As far as I can tell the only major difference between the two instances is that the live version (the one that is failing) has SSL (https).

Are there any specific config settings, or other settings that may be preventing the plugin from activating?

There are no other braintree plugins installed.

    WooCommerce is not installed.

All the other plugins installed are also on the sandbox site – and all are up to date on both sites – so it doesn’t appear to be a direct plugin incompatibility issue. It is worth noting that the sandbox site has more plugins installed than the live site, but I have deactivated these.

Any help you can give is appreciated. I have been going file by file trying to find a discrepancy between the two sites to no avail.

    Thank you.
    Aidan

    Hello,

Providing an error message would be very beneficial. You need to set WP_DEBUG to true and provide us with the error message that is generated as that typically reveals where the conflict is. SSL would not affect the plugin being able to activate.

    Kind Regards,
    Clayton

    Thanks Clayton,

    I’ve set WP_DEBUG to true.

Can you tell me where I will be able to view the error message? I tried running the activation process last night with WP_DEBUG on, but wasn’t able to see an error message..sorry for such a naive question, but where does one find the error message? It is not showing up in the browser…I just get the message: “Oops, you blew up the internet”.

    Thanks!

Here is the url I get stuck at after trying to activate:

    /wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=

    Does this help?

    Totally stuck here…please help. Thanks!

Hi again, just figured out the issue — I had missed it previously…

    The problem:
Braintree for WooCommerce CANNOT be activated if Campaign Monitor Dual Registration is ALREADY activated.

Once I disabled Campaign Monitor Dual Registration, I was able to activate Braintree for WooCommerce and then reactivate Campaign Monitor Dual Registration.

Whew. Glad that issue is finally resolved. :/

    Cheers!

Glad that you were able to resolve the issue. We will take a look at that plugin and see if there is a conflict.
