    Esteemed,

I know that updates are extremely important for the plugin, but what would be the need to rename the folder?

This caused me a problem in more than 18 projects using this plugin.

It is very practical, but it is not usable.

This error first appears: The creame-whatsapp-me / whatsappme.php plugin has been disabled due to an error: The plugin file does not exist.

I check the installed plugins, there is “join.chat”, the new name of the plugin.

Please, if you are going to change the name of the plugin, do not change the name of its main folder, this creates a lot of trouble for those who use it.

    Hi @wmosquini,

We have been forced to change the entire brand. First we couldn’t use “WhastApp” and then we couldn’t use “WA” 😨 either.

With all the changes and versions at the end we had a soup with different names and prefixes that made the maintenance and extensibility of the plugin more complicated and confusing. That’s why we finally decided to cut and unify everything with the new denomination. It’s not just a plugin name change, internally all classes, methods and file names have been changed.

That’s why we have released a major version which implies that there may be incompatibilities.

It may be a little late in your case, but thanks to your notice we have released an update that avoids the “The plugin file does not exist” error when updating from versions prior to 4.0.

Obviously, we’ll try not to do that anymore. Thank you very much for using Join.chat in your projects and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Upgrading from versions prior to 4.0 is resolved in new versions. I close the thread.
