    Also it would be nice to hide widget altogether if there are no posts within the selected category/categories.

    Hi everyone

    Sorry this has taken so long to update this thread.

    I originally made the changes to the plugin last year and have since lost the original files I changed.

    As such I have redone the changes and you can find the changes at https://github.com/jamesryanbell/featured-category-posts/

    I have also made another change to the plugin so there is now an option to exclude all posts from the categories of the current post.
