  • @ryanod I am having the same problem. I emailed Yoast SEO but they said because I don’t have a Premium Subscription they would not answer my email.

    Hi @ryanod

We’re sorry you’re having trouble with the plugin.

While we are not specifically sure whether you’re having a problem with accessing the plugin settings page or specifically the Yoast SEO meta box inside the post/page, in either case, such issues occur due to a JavaScript conflict.

So we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    @bherman1

We are sorry you’re having the same issue. Per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create separate topics for the issues you are experiencing.
That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance on your specific concerns on your specific site. Plus, you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s. You may make a new topic here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post.

    Hi @suascat_wp

So I performed a conflict test and used the health site plugin as advised.

I deactivated all plugins and themes and only activated the Yoast SEO plugin and the issue still occurs.

This must be an issue on your end, can you take a closer look at it

    Hi @ryanod

Thanks for your reply and we’re sorry for the continued difficulties.

We checked the provided screenshots. As we checked the plugin settings page on our test environment default setup i.e. default Twenty Nineteen theme with only Yoast SEO plugin activate we are still unable to replicate the issue. Meaning that plugin settings are visible as expected: https://prnt.sc/vqf4p7

Exploring further, we would like some more information.

    – Do you see any JavaScript errors in your browser console?
    – Does the issue resolve if you clear your cache and cookies?
    – Does the issue resolve if you use a different browser such as Chrome or FireFox or Safari?
    – If you have any browser plugins/extensions, does disabling them resolve the issue?
    – Also, can you make sure you are using the latest WordPress version 5.5.3? If not, can you it update and retry?

    Hi

So I inspected the code and ran debugger and seen something maybe of interest with a jquery handler, please see screenshot

    https://ibb.co/59vtptC

Deleted cache and cookies, dont have any extensions or plugins

And updated the wordpress as well to most recent and the issue still persists.

The screenshot you have shared with us is highlighting the core jQuery file and it’s hard for everyone to find out an issue from there.

Can you please confirm whether you are seeing any errors in the Console (tab) instead?

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
