• Hi.
I’ve had issues with two sites where I’ve had to disable all plugins via the database, and then reactivate one-by-one manually.
Each time, FWP has refused to come back up, causing timeouts and “500 Internal Server Error”. The first time, I just tried again later (MUCH), and it just worked. This time, I’m stuck.
How can I get FWP to reactivate? Does it try to read all RSS feeds on activation? Is that it? If so, how can I stop it doing that until I want it to? (I’m updating via cron jobs)
    Any suggestions gratefully accepted!

    I was correct!
FWP checks all RSS feeds on activation..
I have a LOT of feeds.. Hence Timeout..
Solution is to move the RSS links to another (empty) link category, reactivate FWP and then tell FWP to use that new link category..
Sounds simple, but it’s a manual job.. If I’d known where fwp stores the Link Category, I could have just changed that in the database, activated, and switched back.

    Sorted!
