[Plugin: FG Joomla to WordPress] Nothing imported

    The plugin just does not work.

    I have wordpress installed as a sub-directory of the Joomla site – so both on the same server.

    I have tried imported into the site which has no content – does not work.

    I have tried importing into the wordpress site with all of the categories from the joomla site replicated on the joomla site – still does not work,

    I’ve looked for a long time to find something that works – I thought this was it. Nope.

    Which error message did you get?

    Can you give me some details so I’ll be able to help you.
    Which version of php and mySQL are you using?
    What is the URL if your site?
    How did you configure the plugin?

    Thanks for your kind offer.

    I’ve spent all day copying and pasting into the WordPress site.

    So, job done – lost patience with FG, I’m afraid.

    I find it strange that it doesn’t work for you as it is working well for several hundreds of people.
    It would be kind from you if you could give some details of your problem; so it could help others.

    PHP 5.2
    Mysql 5.5.25a
    Wordpress 3.4.2

    Use:

    1. Set url
    2. Host – localhost
    3. Port 3306
    4. Database – name / username & password.

    5. Import.

    Nothing.

    Is your Joomla site located on your own computer (localhost)?
    Which operating system are you using?
    Is PDO activated?
    How many articles do you have? The migration can take a while depending on how many articles you have.
