I am having exactly the same problem. The Title I have set in the settings page isn’t showing up either, just the default Quote Rotator title.
I’ve got the same problem. Is there a fix?

I guess I’ll have to uninstall this plug in. I need the title to be different than “quote rotator”. Great idea but a no go with this glitch. Does anyone know of another widget that does the same thing?
I just switched to the Quotes Collection Plugin and so far it is working fine! http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/quotes-collection/

I think this problem started after I upgraded to WP 3.4.2. Can I revert to 3.4.1. to solve it? Is everyone else who is having this problem running 3.4.2?
WHAT???? Revert to a previous version of WP just to use a plugin? I’m sorry, but are you nuts?
The plugin isn’t coded using the Widgets API, that’s why everyone is having problems with it. Switch to a different plugin, or pressure the author to fix it.
I had the same problem. I found a workaround – use a text widget, enter the [quoteRotator] shortcode into the text widget, and either set the default settings at Settings -> Quote Rotator or use the shortcode overrides.
Is there interest in me making a converter for Testimonials Widget, http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/testimonials-widget/?
