• We are using flickr gallery 1.3.0 on our WP MU 2.8.6 installation, and we are seeing a problem that only happens when using Internet Explorer 8.

After about the fifth or sixth image in a flickr-gallery slideshow, the browser starts slowing down when switching images, the bottom edge of the lightbox starts bobbing up and down, and finally a dialog box comes up with the message:

    “Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive.”

You can click “No” and try to keep going, but it just keeps slowing down even more, and will pop up the same dialog box again.

Here is a sample gallery page that should exhibit the problem in IE8:

Seems like a JavaScript memory leak?

    Thanks,
    Paul
