Hey Sahana
If you’ve added additional taxonomies to your downloads S&F should be able to filter them no problem, I think even free could do this depending on your setup.
S&F pro will definitely be able to do this – just so you know though, it works a little different currently, but I’ve almost finished an EDD specific update (in beta) which allows S&F Pro to work directly with your EDD downloads shortcodes.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for your reply,
Am not sure how to change the setup in free version though.
All i want is that for the below link i have already used your plugin, but am able to bring all the categories and not specific categories.
For example i want a filter for category Style with all its sub-category as filter dropdown
http://wac.webtastic.biz/products/
Also i would want filters for price, color etc.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Hi there
You cannot have different fields for the same taxonomy (in this case category) but what I would suggest is to use taxonomies to create more fields
See here: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/create-custom-taxonomies-wordpress/
My favourite plugin to create taxonomies is this one: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
The next version of S&F Pro (out very soon) will dynamically show / hide options in the fields only if they are available.
So say you had a taxonomy for colour, and a taxonomy for style, you could have 2 fields (1 for each).
When you select say the colour “red”, then the styles list will update to only show the available styles that are also “red”
This is the next version though, which is almost complete.
Thanks
