On my site I have a page “Activities” with several sub-pages; I want to present the user with a grid of tiles, each holding a picture and a few words of description, so that the user can click on one of them. The grid should of course adapt itself to the screen size. I was not able to do this with my theme Neve (nor with a couple of other themes I tried).

I created a page (it’s in Dutch but you’ll get the idea) by embedding the text in the image and hand-editing the HTML & CSS, but this is time-consuming, error-prone and hard to edit.

Is there a plugin to help me? I found a number of plugins to create a tile grid for posts, but not for pages (I use WP as a CMS, not for blogging).

The Genesis Blocks plugin’s “Post Grid” block, in spite of the name, actually supports any content type, including PAGES.

Thanks George for your suggestion! I tried Genesis Blocks, it’s impressive but not what I need. I cannot scale the images or format the link text; and it doesn’t seem to be responsive (1, 2 or 3 columns depending on screen size). I haven’t yet finished RTFM so I may be premature.

Are there any other plugins with my functionality?

George’s suggestion prompted me to investigate other plugins and indeed: Display Post Types has the features I needed: responsive, selectable content, adaptable styling.
