[Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] Pull most recent post from each category

Hi,

Is there a way….or could I or someone else potentially make a way…..for the slideshow to pull the most recent post from each category?

So for example I have six different categories.

I display six different pictures in the slideshow.

Rather than each one being random the categories would always stay in the same order in the slideshow and would stay the same until a category is updated.

Just like the one on http://www.thepioneerwoman.com does…..any ideas?
