[Plugin: Garee's Twitter Stream] Use in Theme Template?

Is it possible to use this directly in a theme?

I’m working with an older site that isn’t widgetized, and I want to include a Twitter stream using this plugin in the sidebar.

I tried just including the shortcode in the template file, but obvious that doesn’t work.

Thoughts?
