I just installed this and am wondering: what do I need to do to get videos to show up in the standard loop? I’d like to have them mixed in with normal posts.

Where do you want them “mixed in?” Do you have a default list of latest posts on the front page or are you using the Blog page template or something else?

Right now, when I use the standard loop, only blog posts get shown. Can this loop also include posts of the video type? I’d like this on the home page and archive pages.

Yes, the loop can show the video posts. You need to change the post_type value you array( ‘post’, ‘video’ ). The best way to do that is with the pre_get_posts action.
