plugin giving "fatal error"
-
When I want to activate, I receive this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home3/ramandan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/adblade-publisher-tools/adblade-publisher-tools.php on line 146

Which version of PHP are you using? The code in question is only supported in PHP 5.3 and newer.
Since Update on 11/09, unable to save any settings. I enter ad code into the plugin and tick my box, click save changes. “settings saved” banner appears at the top. All info in the plugin form is missing. Ads are not showing on website.
Hatchitz, can you open another support ticket so we don’t hijack Daniel’s thread?
Hatchitz, I found the problem and updated the plugin. It should work if you update to the latest version. I apologize for the inconvenience.
My apologies, Daniel. That’s what I get for hurrying. Didn’t intend the hijack.
Adblade, thanks for the prompt response. Will update ASAP.
Hatchitz, no problem, thanks for intruding π

Sorry, but I have upgraded the PHP version to 5.4
It gave me that above error. Can I implement the code without the plugin? Where is the code? How can I see it?
There is no reason that code would not work using PHP 5.4; I’m a bit stumped. Can you try (temporarily) installing the Health Check plugin and make sure your web server is using the right version of PHP? Maybe more than one version is installed.
If you want to take a look at the code, you can check the Developers section of the plugin page. You can also browse the main branch at https://plugins.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/browser/adblade-publisher-tools/trunk.
Adblade, you are right. “Health Check” plugin shows that I still have 5.2.17. It is weird, because I have upgraded it to 5.5 myself, in the cPanel.
I’m still working on it π
When I mentioned the code, I have been thinking to the ad code, not the php plugin’s code.
Can I implement the ad code without the plugin? If yes, how can I find the ad code, because it doesn’t appear when I create the ad (like on adsense, for sample).
Anyway, I’ll have a chat with my hosting providers to find why I couldn’t upgrade the php version manually, and I’ll come back here.Daniel, if you give me your account number, I can have an account manager contact you with the email address on file and they can help you get and place your ad tags.
Thank you very much for all the feedback π
Problem solved, finally, after my php version has been upgraded to 5.5I wonder how can I eliminate an add altogether from my list, if I decided not to use it after all?
I put the code (tag) in the plugin, and it appeared almost where I have wanted it. I use the same tag on two sites, and I’m sure there’s not a problem. Thanks again, and if you still answer me here, you also can close the topic as “solved”.

If you are referring to the shortcode, you can just remove the shortcode. If you have an ad setup to be before or after a post, you can remove the value from the fields in the admin page.

That should not be a problem.
Thank you very much, yet again. Very appreciated π±
