[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] Track Sidebar Outgoing Links

    After switching over from Google Analyticator to Google Analytics for WordPress in late October, I’ve noticed that my outbound link tracking stats for any links in my sidebar have plummeted. I don’t use any widgets and am curious how to make sure they start getting tracked again like before. Anybody know how to do this?

    I’m having the same problem! But we do use widgets.

    have you updated the onClick event inside those side bar links? The new system does not seem to get data from the last gen onClick.

    I’m having a similar problem…I am using the Social Profiles Widget and want to track clicks to my social media links there using the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin. It seems like other outbound links are being tracked, but not these. I’m guessing now that this is because they are part of the sidebar?

    Yeah, this plugin requires users to manually insert the onClick inside each of the sidebar links. For that reason alone, I switched back to Google Analyticator.
