[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] v4.2.7 still won't authenticate with Google

v4.2.7 still won’t authenticate with Google on at least one of my sites, others seem to be working fine.
Tried de-activating, re-activating, no good.
“Unfortunately, an error occurred while connecting to Google, please try again”
Also tried different browser.
Any ideas?
