I wouldn’t worry about this too much. It’s not uncommon to get intermittent connection errors for a few days at a time.

Yeah I am getting errors from ask.com too… Weird
I have been getting this error on every site I use this plug-in on for the better part of a month. Anyone know of a fix?
I successfully installed, activated and bulit the sitemap with the following messages:
Google was successfully notified about changes
Bing was successfully notified about changes
There was a problem when notifying Ask.com
Here is the detail

Something weird going on with Ask but as long as Google and Bing are happy!!!
Ask.com is no longer a search engine. They dropped this part of there business and now a question and answer website. Ask.com needs to be removed from this plugin. Read about it over here. http://mashable.com/2010/11/09/ask-com-shut-down/
