[Plugin: Group Documents] Privacy/versioning

    Hi Peter. Awesome plugin!

    We have a BuddyPress site that allows teachers to create groups for their classes and populate them with students. It was suggested that it would be great to be able to have a student put an assignment in the group document folder and have it visible only to themselves and the teacher (group admin). Furthermore, as the teacher and student make changes and upload new versions of the document, it could be versioned.

    I’m not certain how this is facilitated by the coming privacy options in the BP core, but I was curious what you thought of this idea.

    Hi John,
    Thanks for giving the plugin a whirl, and for your feedback. Those are both good suggestions (privacy and versioning). I’ll add them to my list of ideas, although I can’t promise any timeline for implementation. The versioning in particular would take quite a bit of development time, and lately my schedule hasn’t been giving me much of that at all :-/

    I understand that adding the versioning functionality would be a large undertaking, but any word on that front?

    No pressure, just curious.

    I love your plug-in. I run collegeshare.org its a lecture and note sharing & book sale site for students and i was wondering if you could add an option for multi file uploads i am learning how to program in php but i am coming along slowly i know there are other scripts that i might be able to insert to do this. Well anyways thanks so much and looking forward to the next version TYM
