Hi friends!
I’m working on hyper cache extended and will try to explain the differences. The story is short: one day I found hyper cache plugin to be limited and not working best for my needs, so i made some changes, next day i do made more and more. After one month i decided to share the result and it’s name is Hyper Cache EXTENDED.What are the differences?
1.There is server load limit (if server goes high load the plugin will not recreate cached files, instead of this will server old cache).
2. Feed caching works. Yes, in the original hyper cache plugin this future isn’t working.
3. Extended cache status (current server load, cache dir, free and used disk space*)
4. Extended cache control – stop/start auto cleaning process*
5. Other small changes and bugfixes (like: config file contains config array, not config variables for each config item).* This will be available in next version (which i’m testing right now)
Why not working together?
Because it’s easer for me – working with other peoples requires synchronization between them. It does slow down the development process.there are no meaningful differentness but the so called extended is too bug’gy and not stable enough.
this is why I am using the original “Hyper Cache” (and not the “”extended”” one).and you should do that too.
You are free to use what You think is best for You!
Are You tested last version? If yes, what are the buggy things?
I’ve been using it on my blog for about a month now without any problems. Also, I don’t see (yet) any gains on performance. But I’m looking forward to the stats!
There is no performance gains as you can see! Extended doesn’t mean more performance at this time for the hyper cache extended.
