[Plugin: HyperDB] HyberDB and Caching

hi,

while the use of database loadbalancing is a major benefit of this plugin, without manual hacks to the db.php file, it really limits the need for DB caching which is extremely beneficial in high read sites.

is there any chance that it can be added as a native feature, or at least the db.php file be modified so that it will allow native caching plugins to use it and maybe wp-config.php can include a alternate name for hyperdb’s native “db.php” file?
