[Plugin: Import HTML Pages] Import german pages

    I have thousands of german written html-pages to import, many thanks to this plugin!
    One basic question I encountered: I got no german or other non-english Characters. In the html-pages the charset is defind as:
    <meta HTTP-EQUIV=”Content-Type” CONTENT=”text/html; charset=windows-1252″>
    How do I overcome this problem??

    addition to my posting:
    even if nothing is specified in the Meta-Section, the non-english characters like ‘ä, ö, ü’ etc. are missing!

    finding a notice in Stephanie’s Blog from May 31, 2010:
    “Try commenting out (or removing) line 568 (“if (function_exists(‘mb_convert_encoding’))…”)”
    This solved the Problem with non-english Characters!
