Hey,
It’s weird that that happens… best thing you can do is simply remove and reinstall and that will ensure everything is installed by WordPress properly.
And yes, your iThemes .htaccess rules could definitely easily be causing trouble there. If there is a .htaccess in the folder, you could try renaming or deleting it altogether to see if that helps…
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it.
I already removed and reinstalled the plugin, but sadly that makes no difference.
There is no .htaccess file in the wp-plugins folder.
Kind regards.

Can you:
1. log into your WordPress admin area and go to Settings -> Permalinks.
2. rename the .htaccess file on the root of your website to anything else
3. Click to save your permlinks again (this will rebuild your .htaccess afresh)
See how your site looks and loads etc. If you have problems, move back the .htaccess you backed-up in step 2.
This will clear out your .htaccess file and prevent any rules in there affecting your site.
Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve executed the steps you’ve described but that sadly makes no difference. I indeed have a new .htaccess file now, but the issue regarding the no images / no stylesheet still persists.
After executing the steps you’ve described, I again removed and reinstalled Simple Security Firewall but that makes no difference.
I am not experiencing this problem with other plugins (I just randomly tried one) so I am curious what this could be.
Thanks
