Plugin interferate with my theme icons

Hi. I am using a theme named Salient, which has the option to show social media icons in your header and in your footer. The problem is that when I activate this plugin the icons dissapear and are replaced with an empty square. If I dezactivate the plugin, the icons appear again. There is more: the button on the bottom of the page, which helps you go back to the top of the site if you click it, dissapears too when I activate this plugin. What should I do to be able to use it?:(
I have to say that the buttons are still there and I can still use them by clicking, the only problem is that the image of the button dissapears and is replaced with an empty square.
