Thanks to another post, I tried this and it fixed the error.
Open ..wp-content/plugins/invitefriends-plug-in/bp-invitefriends.php and change the function called on line 49 to:
bp_core_new_subnav_item
Now, I’m stuck because I can’t resolve this issue with ZEND. I’m on bluehost which seems to do things differently sometimes. Any suggestions?
Exception thrown trying to access Zend/Loader.php using ‘use_include_path’ = true. Make sure you include Zend Framework in your include_path which currently contains: .:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php:/home1/sapgetco/public_html/wellness/wp-content/plugins/bp-invitefriends/lib/Gmail/library
Sorry – I spoke to soon. The fix above stopped my site from totally crashing, but I can’t seem to find any place to invite anyone.
The plugin references the author’s blog which doesn’t even come up. I think this plugin is dead. Some of the comments by the author seem to indicate it only works with gmail and that is giving me errors. The facebook app parameters reference fields that I can’t find anywhere. I recommend you skip this plugin until it is ready for primetime. I’m on 3.0.1 and buddypress 1.2.6
