After installing and activating the plugin, the ShareThis menu item is not shown in the WP-Admin. When trying to navigate to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=sharethis-general we get the error “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Hey @aconde!

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with our plugin. It’s possible that your PHP version is outdated so a quick solution might be checking out your PHP version on WordPress and making sure it’s up to date. If this doesn’t help, there could be an issue related to a desynchronization between your ShareThis property and your WordPress plugin, you may need to reinstall the plugin again.

If the error persists, please contact us at [email protected] and provide us with your PHP version, WordPress version, and plugin version so we can better assist you.

    Hi @anumbilal705

    ShareThis 1.5.6

I have the identical issue on two WordPress sites, each using a different theme but hosted on the same VPS (virtual private server).

One site uses the Classic Editor and one the new blocks and widgets, both throw the same critical errors on trying to enter general settings. If I rollback to ShareThis 1.5.5 then I can get into general settings without this error appearing and this has been the temporary workaround.

Will reproduce these errors underneath the configuration information.
