    Hey, Okoth!

I have tried your plugin and I found it’s really working fine but it has some issues. I have used it on my website and the bounce rate decreased to 1%. As you know we have to keep bounce rate between 35-40%.

I tried changing the firing time but it still fires every 10 seconds. I have checked recent topics and found many people complained this same issue.

A simple solution that I found for this issue is I activate this plugin for few hours and just deactivate it and I managed a bounce rate of 40% from 80%. But activating and deactivating a plugin is a bit hard. So, if you are not able to find a solution for that fire time setting issue then try to set one schedule.

Means allow us to set a time for which the plugin script works and after that, it becomes paused and again it activates at the specific time recently set.

I hope you got my idea and you will find a solution for this as soon as possible. Anyway great thanks for this superb plugin

    Regards,

    Jothin Paul

    Hi Jothin Paul,

You don’t need to worry at all about your bounce rate statistics. They are just statistics. You have to make a difference between your Bounce Rate and Bounce Rate Statistics. My plugin is ONLY about Bounce Rate STATISTICS. You will get better statistics in Analytics, but it won’t LOWER your Bounce Rate.

Google’s statistics are different than the statistics you have in Analytics and it is Google’s statistics that counts, not the ones in Analytics. By turning the plugin on and off you’ll not get accurate Bounce Rate Statistics in Analytics.

For more information, please read the plugin’s info and the info on the plugin’s settings page.

Most important: you don’t need to worry about Bounce Rate you see in Analytics!

Hey! Thanks for your Reply. 🙂

So, you are saying that we don’t have to consider the bounce rate in google analytics, then how I could check the correct bounce rate of the site or what I have to follow?

And the “Fire an event” timing is not working only 10 sec is working. I have tried 5, 15, 20 but none of these worked. Please find a solution for this issue.

    Hi,

It depends on the definition of Bounce Rate. What Google uses is written here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/reduce-bounce-rate/, but is that really the bounce rate? When someone visits a page on your website, reads your article and makes notes and stays there for 4 minutes and closes the tab, Google sees that as a bounce. But do you see this also as a bounce? When does a bounce start? When there are no actions on the page? But is reading an action or not?

By changing the plugin settings you can fine-tune your statistics and come close to your definition of bounce rate.

You are right, the “Fire an event” timing is not working. It’s actually working but the notation in Analytics is wrong. It’s on my list.
