[Plugin: Jet QuickPress] Does this plugin require buddypress to work?

I installed this plugin but nothing shows up on the front-end. I don’t have a My Account menu on the front-end (only pages/menus I create myself – or added via widgets – are displayed), so I assume you’re using the buddypress plugin as well. I’ve no intention of using buddypress as it requires too much work to properly integrate it with my site (it’s heavily customised) – so can this plugin work without buddypress?
