[Plugin: JJ NextGen JQuery Slider] Alternative to shortcode?

I’d like to use this plugin in the home.php file which doesn’t include The Loop or any WP-specific content. For other plugins I’ve used PHP calls instead of shortcode. Is there a way to do this with JJ NextGen JQuery Slider?
