[Plugin: Job Manager] Application plugin notification emails not being received

I am working on a project using WP job manager and the wp application plugin. Everything seems to be working apart from the notification emails are not being received. I have installed an email log and they seem to be sending ok but nothing is being received. I am receiving the submit a cv submission notification which is part of the same family of plugins, so i’m unsure why the application ones are not being received. Please help I’m running out of ideas…
