[Plugin: JW Player Plugin for WordPress] Current Player: Version Unknown

    Hi Andrew,

    After the upload or automatic download completes we try to show a demo player and then we show a message saying whether a valid player was detected or not. This is done through javascript. Upon detection the player version is sent to the server and stored.

    When you do the upload or download, are you seeing a player appear or any messaging?

    Is your wp-content/uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player directory fully writable?

    I wasn’t aware that the player was in the wp-content/uploads/jw-player-plugin-for-wordpress/player directory. Once I fave it full writable permissions it worked like a charm.
