Hi @namirial,
Good morning, and thank you for reaching out. I hope you’re having a great start to your day.
Our plugin is compatible with both Loco Translate and Polylang. In most cases, Loco Translate alone should be sufficient. You can follow their documentation for translating any plugin, but here’s a quick guide to help you get started:
- Install and activate the Loco Translate plugin (if you haven’t already).
- Go to Loco Translate > Plugins in your WordPress dashboard.
- Find EU/UK VAT Validation Manager for WooCommerce in the list and click on it.
- Click New language to create a translation.
- Choose your target language and click Start translating.
- Search for the field labels you want to translate and enter the translations in the corresponding fields.
- Save your changes once finished.
Additionally, you can use shortcodes to display content in different languages on the frontend. For example:
- To show English messages:
[alg_wc_eu_vat_translate lang="en"]Your VAT number is valid.[/alg_wc_eu_vat_translate]
- To show a fallback message for any language except English:
[alg_wc_eu_vat_translate not_lang="en"]Your VAT number is valid.[/alg_wc_eu_vat_translate]
I hope this answers your question. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Hi, any suggestions on this?
I have been using Loco for a long time so I am pretty sure I have done everything correctly. Even on this same site, translations for other plugins work fine. Do you have any idea why it might not work in this case for EU/UK VAT plugin? Maybe because of multi-site?
Sorry, in another environment of mine this is working fine, so it depends on other factors.
No need to reply, thank you.
