I have installed this plugin and I like it. It does everything I need however the widget option does not show the excerpt. I have checked the excerpt box but I only get “…” after the title. Is there something else that needs to be done?

excerpt=yes
in the shortcode.

I am having the same problem. I am not using the shortcode. I am using the widget.

I have the same problem with the widget.

In fact the Date, Author, Link to category and Excerpt options do not save and appear to have no effect.

Actually, there is is a solution. Instead of using this plugin widget, use a text widget. In that widget, use the plugin shortcode [catlist] and specify all the options you want (see plugin’s Other Notes). That works!

There is a bug in the code. I used the fix in this topic and it worked for me:
