• Hi,

The dynamic css link http://www.mydomain.com/?mcsf_action=main_css&ver=3.1.3 is causing major slowdown for page loads on my site. The rest of the site loads up in under 2 seconds, however the call to the css (which is only 0.4kb) is taking 3.3 seconds on average on it’s own.

It generates only a few lines of css anyway – any ideas if this is fixable, or if you are updating it for the next release?

    Thanks.

  • Hey Dan!

I had a chat with our developer about this issue, which is why it took so long to respond. Thanks for your patience with this! According to him, he suggested turning OFF the custom styling to speed up the loading process. If anything can speed up the plugin, he definitely suggested that.

As far as future updates, we’re always compiling new stuff to add to our update. While we don’t have a specific ETA on that (or a definitive list of what’s to be included), I can definitely pass this suggestion along.

Let us know if we can assist with anything else!

    Cheers

    Wil

I was wondering if anything else can be done about this issue as I think it’s gotten worse over the last year.

The ?mcsf_action=main_css&ver=3.3.2 request is consistently taking between 3 and 4 seconds time to the first byte.

This is seriously slowing down any website which has the MailChimp sign-up plugin.

Is it a server response issue?
