I put the Meteor Slides Widget on Header Horizontal Widget Area. Both Firefox and Opera do not show it correctly.

Is the site you’re working on online? Can you post a link to the site so I can take a look?

Sorry, I forgot to give the link. Here is it:

The slides in the header widget are 1200×460, but the slide dimensions are still set to the default 940×200 size in the slideshow settings, so the slideshow is shrinking the slides. Set the slideshow settings to match the slide image size and it should work correctly.

Hallo sir, thanks for your reply.

    I’ve set the slideshow settings:
    – Slide Height = 460 px
    – Slide Width = 1200 px

Unfortunately it’s still now working as what it should be.

I personally think, because I want it to be fluid and responsive, we should no need to define the height or width, it should be take the available size automatically (from its parent), am I wrong? If we need to provide the size, it should be 100%, not in px dimension.

It doesn’t look like the table that the slideshow is in is scaling with the rest of the site, try removing that table.

The slideshow script isn’t a fullscreen slideshow script, it only accepts specific fixed widths, that’s just the way it’s built. Because the slide images are raster, not vector, you don’t really want to blow them up beyond their original size because they will get blurry and pixelated.

You mentioned to remove the table, but what and how? I don’t know much about it. Is it the problem of the Weaver II theme I’m using?

I ever tried other slideshow plugins (like Good Old Gallery), it is working as it should be, but there are some features it doesn’t have but I need.

I know, raster images will be blurry if being showed and stretched on a large display, that’s why I use the superlarge size 1200 x 460 px. And a great thing about Weaver II theme is, I can limit the max width allowed no matter how large the display is.

If I can voice my opinion, I will suggest the setting page to has option to use 100% full width or to switch to px size. Maybe you can have a try on Good Old Gallery:
