I’d love to add a Ken Burns effect, it’s definitely on my to-do list!
Would be great if it worked like CrossSlide, but I couldn’t replace jQuery Cycle with that, I need to create a custom transition like CrossSlide for jQuery Cycle. I think you could do this with a better, custom version of the zoomFade transition, but I haven’t had a chance to try building a custom transition yet.

Cool let me know how it goes. If I built this in it would definitely be one of the options in the dropdown. For a custom transition, I would use a custom slideshow script, and either set the transition in the script, or using metadata.
