• So I’ve been trying to install the Mobile Smart Plugin, and when I click Upload, this is what I receive,

    Downloading install package from http://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/mobile-smart.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /shared/volumes/userdata1/8/8283/site/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/mobile-smart/

    Plugin install failed.

How do I fix this? I’m extremely new to WordPress and anything that is related to it. The more description, the better. I don’t even know what FTP stands for or how I would even go about using it, if that gives you a better idea.

    Thanks in advance.

This isn’t specific to the Mobile Smart plugin – something probably interrupted the plugin install process, which means that the folder is already there.

The solution is that you’ll need to find someone to help you get some FTP software (e.g. try Googling “Filezilla”), which allows you to access the files on your webserver, and set it up with the FTP details for your web hosting account. Then you’ll need to browse to the htdocs/wp-content/plugins/ folder and delete the mobile-smart folder.

If you’re unable to do this, try asking your web hosting providers to help.

    Hope this helps,

    Dan
