[Plugin: Multi Twitter Stream by wsyms] Not retrieving tweets – Error message

Installed your widget yesyerday, now it does not retrieve the tweets, then it does. This occurs randomly. Have 9 usernames entered. Site link: http://roseandmoon.com/category/sui-generis-fashion/gypsy-bohemian-nomad/

This is the error:

“Warning: simplexml_load_file() [function.simplexml-load-file]: I/O warning : failed to load external entity “https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.xml?screen_name=RosesAndMoons&count=10″ in /home/roseandm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/multi-twitter-stream-by-wsyms/widget.php on line 171”

Solutions?

Now it gives this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function children() on a non-object in /home/roseandm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/multi-twitter-stream-by-wsyms/widget.php on line 173

….and nothing beyond this widget shows up, including the footer.

I have removed the widget, but I like its functionality, so could you address this issue, please.

Twitter has a pretty strict limit on API calls, if you’ve exceeded that limit you’ll get a 400 Bad Request error. For more info on this see: Rate Limiting FAQ. I’m going to try and work on a patch for this.

Same problem!! I loved this plugin when it was working!!!!! This is exactly what I needed!!! Any patches yet?
